El ex Rivadavia estuvo por primera vez en un partido de la Primera División, con tan solo 17 años. No entró al campo de juego, aunque seguramente tendrá la oportunidad con el correr de los partidos.
Con goles de Lucas Janson a los 12 minutos del primer tiempo y de Thiago Almada a los 17 del complemento, Vélez le ganó a Sarmiento en Junín por 2 a 1, con descuento para el local de Jonatan Torres a los 4 de tiempo adicionado. En ese marco, el linqueño Joaquín Gho estuvo en el banco de suplentes, cumpliendo el sueño, con tan solo 17 años, de debutar en la Primera División del fútbol argentino, con la posibilidad de entrar al terreno de juego, seguramente, en los venideros cotejos. En relación al próximo partido para los de Junín, será el próximo domingo, ante Boca, en la “Bombonera” a las 21:30 horas.
Luego de 3 años, 7 meses, y 25 días, en la segunda fecha de la copa, Sarmiento volvió a primera división.
Si bien arrancó ordenado, al Verde le costó hacerse de la pelota y, cuando lo logró, le duró poco, por lo que no pudo armar juego. Con una buena producción de Almada y Mancuello, Vélez controló la pelota, manejó el medio y asistió con criterio a los de arriba. Con transiciones rápidas, el “Fortín” se arrimó a Vicentini, pero fue Janson quien, con un remate de media distancia a los 12 minutos, rompió los planteos y puso el 1 a 0.
Luego del gol, Sarmiento intentó acercarse a Hoyos, pero le costó retroceder rápido cuando pasó al ataque. No obstante empezó a equilibrar el partido con Vismara y Bravo, y, pese al resultado en contra, tuvo orden táctico y contó con buenos aportes de Bravo y Graciani, que le permitieron terminar con el resultado abajo, pero mejor de cómo había empezado.
En el segundo período, a partir de los 10, Sarmiento se animó, mejoró y peleó el partido, y Sciacqua buscó llegada: ingresó Rincón por Montero para aprovechar la velocidad y el cansancio; no obstante la más clara fue para Vélez, primero con un tiro de Lucero en el travesaño y, un minuto después, otra vez mal parado, el Verde lo pagó caro: luego de una corrida de Lucero, Thiago Almada la mandó al fondo del arco a los 17, para el 2 a 0.
Rápidamente, el entrenador buscó cambiarle la cara al equipo y mandó al campo de juego a Quiroga, Borasi y Vázquez, para tener llegada y generar opciones cerca del arco de Hoyos, y le dio resultado: generó opciones, y ganó en vitalidad y frescura en ataque. De todas maneras, pese a que Vélez se retrasó y apostó a la contra, el gol del descuento llegó en el final: Torres -que jugó un gran partido y aportó mucho sacrificio- convirtió en tiempo adicionado. El Verde se fue a buscar el empate, pero no había tiempo para más y terminó con derrota, aunque sin renunciar al juego.
